The Georgia
Piedmont Land Trust (GPLT) will feature talented local garden designer,
certified arborist, author, artist and Master Gardener Shannon Pable in a
practical workshop on Saturday, May 7th from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at
GPLT’s Mary Kistner Nature Center near Snellville. The event will show
how to translate garden design concepts into a real plan that you can
act upon.
Whether you have an existing garden that needs to be
refreshed or redone or you’re starting from bare dirt, this session will
help you make sense of the chatter about garden design.
Join
Shannon in the beautiful woodland gardens at the Kistner Center as she
demonstrates how you can create a workable plan for your own garden.
She also will provide useful suggestions for plant selections in your
particular landscape, highlighting native plants for pollinators and
wildlife.
Enjoy a light lunch in the beautiful surroundings of the Kistner
Center as you learn. Then, as an added highlight, Buck Jones Nurseries (www.buckjones.com) will be on hand with native plants for sale so you can get a head start on implementing your own plan.
Prepayment is required. The fee for the session is $50, lunch included. All proceeds go to support GPLT’s conservation work.
